Music Monday: Once

I'm a sap, it's official! I was cheering with friends last night when the indie movie with Irish, Glen Hansard and Czech, Marketa Irglova, Once WON an Oscar for the best original song for a Motion Picture. Was it just me or were they the only real people on the show? And seriously, if I heard another song from "Enchanted" I thought I might loose my yummy Oscar dinner.

Here's the Once website and myspace page. Oh and also, Glenn Hansard plays in one of my favorite bands, The Frames. If you see them, you might be as surprised as I was when you realize a non-singer like yourself is singing with him and the rest of the crowd. He's pretty charismatic on stage and likes to get everyone to sing along.
