Architecture: Seattle Library

On Monday I drove up to Seattle to renew my passport and came across this incredible glass faceted facade. Turns out it was the new public library. Beautiful textures, space and color throughout. It blew me away! I could have spent all day there.

oh, wow! i have heard about that building (our library in minneapolis was built around the same time as the seattle library, i think), but i have not seen pictures. it's pretty incredible (although i wouldn't trade it for ours. what can i say? i'm totally loyal): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minneapolis_Public_Library
