my star: Shawn Johnson

I'm originally from Iowa AND I'm a huge gymnastics fan (when I was young, I named my cat Mary Lou, after Mary Lou Retton) and so it's not surprising that I'm a fan of Shawn Johnson. I've been staying up into the early morning waiting impatiently for NBC to post the videos so I can see her perform and tonight, I was so thrilled to see that she finally captured the gold medal on the balance beam! YAY!
